Hand Veins

Hand Veins
Many people are bothered by the prominent hand veins. Our hand skin ages just like facial skin. It degenerates with time. Skin becomes thinning due to loss of subcutaneous collagen and fat tissue. The results are prominent wrinkles, tendons and vessels. The dorsal hand veins usually become very prominent if we frequently use computer, mobile phones, doing home jobs, or lifting heavy things.
Hand rejuvenation is the way to let your hands back to the young condition.
Several treatment methods are used for hand rejuvenation:
1. Prominent hand veins: sclerotherapy is a kind of treatment by which a drug called sclerosant is injected into the hand veins. The prominent hand veins usually shrink and then disappear after a couple of weeks (Figure 1 to Figure 5). The important vessels such as cephalic veins, basilic vein, median cubital vein are excluded from injection and preserved for medical therapy once needed in the future.
2. Loss of subcutaneous fat or collagen: the lost tissue can be replaced by Radiesse or autologous fat transfer (Figure 6).
3. Pigmentations:can be treated by laser resurfacing.
